I like the spacegrey surface of my Macbook very much and actually did not want to hide it. But in the meantime, small fine scratches show. You can still take good care of it – eventually it happens.
At the last security check at the airport, I realized it again when I had unpacked my Macbook, the security staff inspected it and then rudely put it in the box – where, for example, my key was, which could quickly scratch the surface. To avoid this, I have now ordered a protective cover. (available at Amazon)
Combined with the protective keyboard film, my Macbook is now protected from dust and scratches for the next few trips.
Here now my video in which I mount and test the protective cover: (German with english subtitles)
I’m curious how the protective cover beats in practice. Possibly the heat from the Macbook could accumulate under it or something similar. A test after a longer time use follows.
