    • I'm trying to work on a new web concept, but it's not always easy when "important" emails arrive every 10 minutes that should be taken care of immediately. As a self-employed person, I naturally always want to be there for my clients and deliver fast response times. But unfortunately, that's not goal-oriented during hot phases of a project. If you constantly interrupt your work and jump back and forth between customers or projects, you end up with a lot of lost time at the end of the day and you can't stay focused on the work you actually planned. Not every important e-mail is really urgent. It's just that you often think it's important to have the emails answered quickly. One technique to avoid being constantly interrupted is to check emails at certain intervals. My plan now is to set timers and only check emails every half hour or possibly every hour and not immediately when the notification of a new email appears. 👉 How do you handle a lot of emails during the day? ------------------------ 🇩🇪 Ich versuche, an einem neuen Web-Konzept zu arbeiten, aber es ist nicht immer einfach, wenn im 10-Minuten-Takt "wichtige" E-Mails ankommen, die sofort erledigt werden sollten. Als Selbstständiger möchte ich natürlich immer für meine Kunden da sein und schnelle Reaktionszeiten liefern. Aber das ist in heißen Phasen eines Projektes leider nicht zielführend. Wenn man seine Arbeit ständig unterbricht und zwischen Kunden bzw. Projekten hin- und herspringt, hat man am Ende des Tages sehr viel verlorene Zeit und man kann bei der eigentlich geplanten Arbeit nicht fokussiert bleiben.     • I'm back! 👋 The last few weeks have been very tough and so I haven't posted as much here on instagram. Two new clients have commissioned web projects. Shortly after that I got sick in bed with a fever for about a week. The timing could not be better ... So I had to catch up on some unfinished work there. I thought I could use the weekends for that, but even those were already scheduled with several appointments like family celebration and wedding party. I'm struggling a bit with my time management now, but at the same time I'm happy that a lot of the client projects are going on again and I'm running at, well, about 90% performance again. However, the sick leave has shown me how important it is to have a good time buffer in project management so that timings can be met even when there is downtime. Even more, I am glad that I have very understanding clients. I hope to be a little more active again here as well. -------------------- 🇩🇪 Wieder zurück! 👋 Die letzten Wochen waren sehr hart und daher habe ich hier auf instagram nicht so viel gepostet. Zwei neue Kunden haben Webprojekte beauftragt. Kurz darauf bin ich dann ca eine Woche mit Fieber krank im Bett gelegen. Das Timing konnte nicht besser sein ... Somit musste ich da einiges an liegengebliebener Arbeit aufarbeiten. Ich dachte mir, dass ich die Wochenenden dafür nutzen könnte, aber auch die waren schon mit mehreren Terminen wie Familienfeier und Hochzeitsfeier verplant. Ich kämpfe nun etwas mit meinem Zeitmanagement, aber gleichzeitig freue ich mich, dass auch viel an den Kundenprojekten wieder weiter geht und ich wieder naja, auf ca. 90% Leistung laufe. Der krankheitsbedingte Ausfall hat mir aber gezeigt, wie wichtig ein guter Zeitpuffer im Projektmanagement ist, so dass Timings auch bei Ausfällen eingehalten werden können. Noch mehr bin ich froh, dass ich sehr verständnisvolle Kunden habe.   • If you want to travel a lot, you also have to plan your time well. I've been on the road a lot in the last few weeks. Budapest, Zagreb, Slovakia ... Time management is still my biggest challenge, but it's getting better little by little. Next weekend I'm going to Romania and so I'm trying to finish as much projects as possible. New requests are coming in every day - which makes me very happy - but this also needs to be well coordinated. Project and resource planning is not always easy, especially when deadlines are postponed or customers are also prevented and thus complete projects are postponed. The most important thing is to keep the overview and luckily I still have it :D How are my self-employed followers doing with this? Do you also struggle with time management? -------------------- 🇩🇪 Wer viel unterwegs ist, muss auch seine Zeit gut planen. In den letzten Wochen war ich viel unterwegs. Budapest, Zagreb, Slowakei ... Zeitmanagement ist noch meine größte Challenge, aber es wird nach und nach besser. Kommendes Wochenende geht es nach Rumänien und daher versuche ich, so viel wie möglich an Projekten fertig zu bringen. Täglich kommen neue Anfragen - was mich sehr freut - aber das gehört auch gut koordiniert. Die Projekt- und Ressourcenplanung ist nicht immer einfach, vor allem wenn sich Termine verschieben oder auch Kunden verhindert sind und sich so komplette Projekte verschieben. Das wichtigste hierbei ist, den Überblick zu bewahren und den habe ich zum Glück noch :D Wie geht es meinen selbstständigen Followern damit? Kämpfst du auch mit Zeitmanagement?
